Grand Opening Event

The 3rd Degree.

So you think you can talk? Put your reputation where your mouth is — sixty seconds on the mic against a live AI, a judge that scores like it means it, and one worldwide leaderboard to settle your rank. Top the board and you don't just win — you join the team.

What it actually is

One free, timed round — 60 to 150 seconds — against a live AI playing a room built to rattle you: a panel of investor sharks you have to pitch, an impatient buyer you have to sell, a hostile press corps mid-crisis, or someone hopelessly out of your league whose number you’re trying to get. The scenarios are absurd on purpose and played for laughs — but the AI is the real deal: it listens, interrupts, reacts to exactly what you say, and never breaks character. When the clock stops, an independent AI judge scores your run (overall score, six skill categories, filler-word count, and where you rank against everyone on Earth) and hands you the one line you should have said. It’s the same live adversarial engine our serious rooms run on — a free way to feel it before you bring Third Degree a deposition, an interview, or a pitch that actually matters.

Launch Lineup

Four ways to embarrass yourself brilliantly.

The event rotates through the launch lineup. Every challenge is procedurally varied — the object, the product, the crisis change; the pressure doesn't.

90 SECONDS · PANEL OF THREE

Shark Tank

Pitch the product you're assigned to Marcus (the numbers shark), Diane (the market skeptic), and Ray (the showman who's heard four hundred better pitches). They interrupt. They do your math out loud. Yes, one of the products is a smart water heater.

60 SECONDS · ONE BUYER

Convince Me

A brick. A single sock. An expired coupon. A mysterious key that opens nothing you know of. Sell it to a buyer with money, no patience, and zero need — and be ready for "how much, and why should I say yes right now?"

90 SECONDS · FULL PRESS ROOM

Press Briefing from Hell

You're the press secretary. Maybe the blenders are catching fire; maybe the water supply turned pink. The room interrupts, quotes you back to yourself, and always ends with the yes-or-no kill question.

150 SECONDS · ONE NUMBER

The Casanova Contest

The hunt for the world's smoothest talker. Choose your scene partner — Victor or Victoria: a concert pianist, museum-retrospective artist, freeride ski champion, Harvard D1 tennis — and completely unimpressed by lines they've heard twice today. Two and a half minutes to earn the phone number. Clichés get shot down mid-sentence; actual charm can close.

The Loop

Thirty seconds to understand. Sixty to survive.

01 · THE DRAW

The challenge drops

Everyone on Earth gets the same challenge and the same variant. No cherry-picking, no rehearsing someone else's prompt.

02 · THE CLOCK

You perform, live

Real voice, real interruptions, real reactions. The AI plays its part at full strength — it will laugh at a good line and pounce on a bad one.

03 · THE VERDICT

The judge scores you

An independent AI judge grades the transcript: overall score, six skill subscores, filler-word count, an estimated human percentile — and the one line you should have said.

04 · THE BOARD

You take your place

Your best score of the round goes on the worldwide leaderboard. Streaks build multipliers. Next round, a new room.

The Grand Prize

The top talker doesn't just win the board. They join the team.

The best voice of the event gets more than a rank. We're hiring our loudest believer straight off the leaderboard — a paid seat on the Hot Seat team, and a real hand in what we build next.

PAID SEAT

Brand ambassador — on payroll

Not swag, not a coupon. A paid brand-ambassador role: you're the face and the voice of the challenge that made you.

A HAND ON THE WHEEL

Creative & directional input

Sit in on where Third Degree goes next — new rooms, new challenges, the feel of the product. Your take ships.

EARNED, NOT DRAWN

Won on the mic

No raffle, no follower count. The same challenge, the same judge, the same board as everyone — the top of it gets the call.

Built to be Watched

Fun to attempt. Funnier to watch.

Every attempt ends with a share-ready score card — challenge, score, percentile, streak — made for the group chat and the feed. Post your 94. Post your 12. Both travel.

SAME PROMPT, EVERYONE

Instantly comparable

Your friend's 71 on today's brick means something because you scored 68 on the same brick.

REAL STAKES

Honest judging

90+ is rare and earned. The judge quotes your actual words back in its verdict — praise and damage alike.

KEEP THE FIRE

Streaks that matter

Streaks multiply your XP up to 2×. Miss a round, lose the fire. Simple, ruthless, effective.
